Mob Sister (a.k.a. Ah Sou) features a star-studded cast!
The film pools together Best Actor winners such as Eric Tsang, Simon Yam, Anthony Wong, Alex Fong, Liu Ye, and Tse Kwan Ho, co-starring with character actors Yuen Wah (Kung Fu Hustle) and Liu Kai Chi. Gorgeous Karena Lam collaborates with new actress Annie Liu, selected from thousands of girls during casting, to portray two Mob Sisters who have to join the triads against their will.
Annie Liu's lack of experience was seemingly no obstacle in her performance as a naive girl brought up by gangsters. On the other hand, Karena Lam gives up her usual sweet-girl roles, such as the ones in Floating Landscape and It Had To Be You, and takes on a new challenge to play a female gangster in this off-beat and original female-centered Hong Kong triad movie.
Director Wong Ching Po, a past Best New Director winner at the Hong Kong Film Awards, subverts gangster movies' traditions not only by telling the story from a female point of view, but also by making it a visually arresting motion picture. He tries to make almost every frame in Mob Sister aesthetically complex. Karena Lam's white dresses and Annie Liu's red ones form an interesting and impressive contrast. For movie lovers who want to see a highly stylized gangster movie, Mob Sister is a visual treat.

Director Wong Jing delivers a tough, unexpected triad drama with A True Mob Story. Superstar Andy Lau is Cheung Dee, a low-level triad boss who won fame when he saved superior triad boss Prince (Mark Cheng) from certain death at the hands of the vicious Crazy Ball (Ben Ng). But the years since his famous act have not been kind. Once a righteous, passionate man, Dee is now a spineless patsy who steals credit instead of earning it himself. But when he's set up by his bosses, Dee must take a stand. Can he regain the righteousness of his youth? Andy Lau delivers a powerhouse performance, and director-writer Wong Jing delivers an emotionally complex story. In this bold take on the triad genre, a good man must regain his self-respect by rising up against the same triad underworld that nearly destroyed him. Featuring a packed cast of top Hong Kong stars, including Gigi Leung, Alex Fong and Sam Lee, A True Mob Story surprises with a dark, romantic triad tale that's entertaining, uncompromising, and utterly compelling.
Johnnie To rounds up the regulars and legendary French singer Johnny Hallyday for the quintessential crime actioner Vengeance. Written by To's usual collaborator Wai Ka Fai, Vengeance follows in the footsteps of The Mission and Exiled with the pulpy story of a Frenchman and a trio of hitmen out for revenge in Macau. Johnnie To once again turns bullets, brotherhood, and bloodshed into pure cinematic beauty. Shot mostly in English, the film surrounds Johnny Hallyday's hitman-turned-chef with a supporting cast of To's regular stars including Anthony Wong, Lam Suet, and Gordon Lam as eccentric hitmen, and Simon Yam as the nefarious mob boss. Michelle Yip, Eddie Cheung, Maggie Shiu, Felix Wong, Berg Ng, and Stanley Fung also appear in Vengeance.
French chef Costello (Johnny Hallyday) arrives in Macau to see his daughter (Sylvie Testud), whose husband and kids have been killed by mob hitmen. A former hitman himself, Costello has memory problems because of a bullet lodged in his brain, and must get revenge before he forgets everything. Wandering Macau, he happens upon affable hitmen Kwai (Anthony Wong), Chu (Gordon Lam), and Lok (Lam Suet), and hires them to avenge his family. The four of them manage to track down the killers, but Kwai, Chu, and Lok find out a few gunfire showdowns too late that their boss (Simon Yam) was behind the hit.
