£ 49.00 The New Apex Learner Microscope
The Apex Learner is an ideal starter microscope for the young scientist and is complete with a commisioning set that contains prepared slides, plain slides, coverslips, foceps, pippette, test tube and probe. Instructions for some starter experiments. This is a unique microscope that has an LED light shining down on the stage that allows solid objects such as coins or insects to be examined whole with the x40 and x160 magnifications. The toggle lighting switch then allows the use of LED under lighting for examining conventional microscope slides with magnifications up to x640. This is a brand new upgrade to our popular Learner brand and is one of only a few microscopes that can be used for looking at microscope slides in the normal way and also whole objects without the need to make slides (upto x160 magnification). The pictures shown were taken down this microscope with a digital SLR camera. The photographs are of a fly's leg, paramecium from a pond and using the top light, a wasp's sting (it was cross!) and a fly's eye.
